5 inutes after halftime
Wydad misses a penalty and scores moments later through Madihi to secure
a one goal advantage on a rainy pitch in front of 35,000 according to Moroccan

African Cup Winners Cup final 2nd leg
(Dec 8 1400 GMT)
Asante Kotoko (Ghana) - Wydad
Casablanca (Morocco) 2:1 (1st leg: 0:1)
For 20 minutes Asante Kotoko
came close to a possible penalty shoot out or even a triumph within 90
minutes since after 54 minutes Aziz Ansah had taken the hosts 1:0 ahead.
Wydad equalised with 15
minutes to play and seemed to have had shattered all hopes of the Ghanaians.
But with 5 minutes to go
Asante Kotoko scored the 2:1 and the Moroccans had to defend their narrow
lead (away goals rule) for the thrilling remaining minutes of the match.
CAF Cup final 1st leg
(Nov 8 2030 GMT)
JS Kabylie (Algeria) - Tonerre (Cameroon)
4:0
- 1:0 ('2) Tonerre with
Juventus style shirts but not with a Juventus quality defence: the left
defender loses a challenge and an Algerian breaks through on the right
wing. he centers the ball, it is deflected but eventually concerted by
a low shot beating the keeper st the near post.
-quite balanced match after
the goal
-('30) red card for Tonerre's
#20 Olinga after an off-ball incident
-('33) Cameroonian defence
looks odd on a free kick cross but the guests are lucky that the Algerian
goal is disallowed probably for attacking the keeper
-the psychological effect
of the red card seems visible, JSK are dominating now, Tonerre are defending
comittedly but have difficulties in staging counter attacks or keeping
the ball for a longer possession
-2:0 (45+) in injury time,
with the Tonerre defence becoming tired, JSK scores the valuable
2nd goal, a cross from the left and a perfect header by #15
-halftime 2:0
-surprisingly JSK totally
settles for counter attacks after the half and Tonerre dominates the match
-3:0 ('63) but naivety on
a set piece costs Tonerre another goal: a corner is headed into the net
by #4 Drioueche, unchallenged after several Algerians had surprised their
opponents by an unorthodox running pattern and the defenders had
unsuccessfully tried to rely on space defence
-4:0('87) #15 Berguigua
added an easy fourth goal after an embarassing mismatch in the defence
of the guests
final score 4:0
not a match of high standards
with many errors
