a one goal advantage on a rainy pitch in front of 35,000 according to Moroccan
sources. Wydad are reported to have pressured for the goal especially while

free kick situations in the second half.

For 20 minutes Asante Kotoko
came close to a possible penalty shoot out or even a triumph within 90
minutes since after 54 minutes Aziz Ansah had taken the hosts 1:0 ahead.
Wydad equalised with 15
minutes to play and seemed to have had shattered all hopes of the Ghanaians.
But with 5 minutes to go
Asante Kotoko scored the 2:1 and the Moroccans had to defend their narrow
lead (away goals rule) for the thrilling remaining minutes of the match.
