World Cup 2002 - African qualification - match report
Morocco - Namibia   Saturday, April 21, Rabat, 1900 local time / GMT
1st half:
-Morocco in green, Namibia in white stockings, red shorts, and white shirts
-('3) goal for Morocco but offside
-('12) good opportunity for Morocco as the Namibian defence has opened up but Hadji's centered ball gets deflected and hits the outside of the net
-Morocco are the superior team but Namibia yet are looking better than in oitther away games
-('15) the purous Namibian defence allows several promising situations within two minutes
-('19) constant pressure on the Namibian goal and it seems only a question of time until the first goal for the home team
-('24) a header by # 2 after a free kick from the right hand side leaves the keeper without a chance but sails wide
-('29) Morocco:  Camacho (Hadda)  unveils another hole in the Namibian defence and is stopped quite physically but the referee says it has been within the rules
-('31) after several attempts Morocco finally get their penalty, could only have been holding:
-('32) Hadji seems to send the keeper into the wrong corner but he makes a sudden turn halfway and jumps right to save the low shot - penalty saved
-Morocco have a couple of half chances until half time but have lost a little momentum

halftime 0:0

2nd half:
-('48) a header from 11 meters by #15 (Rachid Roukki?) fits exactly between the keeper and the goalpost - 1:0
-now the match should be much more comfortable for Morocco
-only half chances for Morocco in the following when Namibia begin to push forward (without creating real dangerous scenes yet)
-Namibian defence plays a lot using offside, this sometimes works but sometimes creates space for Morocco to play into
-('76) after some dull minutes a great run by Hadji along the right hand side, a brilliantly timed cross and Camacho finishes with a touch of his foot before the keeper reaches it - 2:0
-It bgets easier for Morocco in the following
-('injury time) free kick cross from the right, Namibian defenders play offside but one doesn't and so 4 Morrocan strikers are free and onside in front of the goal - Camacho scores - 3:0
-('injury time) Namibian concentration shows some signs of deterioation and Morocco thinks goal difference. But only some dangerous moments - no further goals

final score 3:0
Morocco had the necessary patience and Namibia never really came close to scoring.
