Group D
Group D has been labelled
as the 'group of death', maybe even stronger than group A. With Nigeria,
Tunisia, and Morocco it contains three World Cup starters from France 98.
Congo is an outsider
who could be stronger than the likes of Gabon or Togo but lacks what they
have: tournament experience. They face an impossible task: Morocco with
their key midfield players, Hadji and Chippo in top form in the English
Premier League, Tunisia, already in high gear in warm up has just destroyed
Togo 7:0, and Nigeria, the overtalented hosts, sensing a real comeback
commitment and working hard in preparations to refind their old shape.
But who knows? A thrilling group. |
