Nov 17: CAF Cup Final first leg result:
Ismaily (Egypt) - JS Kabylie (Algeria)  1:1
halftime 0:0, Ismaily took the lead, then the equaliser

Dec 1: CAF Cup 2nd leg:
JS Kabylie (Algeria) - Ismailia (Egypt)  0:0 (final) (first leg 1:1)

- JSK are a very popular club in Algeria, playing in yellow and green and are former winners of the African Champions Cup and Cup Winners Cup. They are looking for being the second team to have won all three clubs (after Esperance Tunis). Ismailia, despite in the shadows of Al Ahly and Zamalek, have won the Champions Cup before, too (1969).
- after the first leg has ended 1:1, Ismailia need to score, otherwise JSK will win the cup
- JSK begin very agressive, attacking pressuring and a nasty looking late challenge ('5) and some half chances
- after 20 minutes Ismailia have gained more ball possession but that has also created space for JSK counter attacks
- ('26) JSK break through on the half right side, a pass back in front of the goal outplays the entire defence but the ball is fired across the bar from 8 meters - this should have been a goal
- JSK have dominated the first half especially in one against one situations (especially Ismailia attacking hope John Otaka has a tough match against Driouache) but similar to the Algerian national team they cannot convert their fine game into goals. So Ismailia still has the same chance.
- ('50) good scene for JSK when a backheel goal attempt is blocked in the last moment
- ('58) suddenly a big opportunity for Ismailia but far across the bar - on the sopposite side JSK blow another counter attack
- one goal only can turn it all around, will JSK become nervous?
- ('59) JSK: a shot from an impossible position suddenly becomes dangerous and almost beats the keeper
- the second half sees a much more fragmented match: JSK with more inaccurate passing lose many balls, Ismailia still without many chances, the match has been fast and hard faught and fouls become more as players become more tired
- ('73) a solorun by #7 Moussouni almost gets JSK the goal, but he cannot get it past the keeper
- ('77) Ismailia with a good chance after a corner when the ball is volleyed wide
- ('78) on the opposite side a defender just can block a dangerous shot by JSK - it smells like a goal soon
- ('86) suddenly the JSK defence sinks in chaos and leave a striker unmarked - he hits the goalpost, the second attempt is blocked by a defender with the goalkeeper out of play
- final score 0:0 - JSK wins the Cup on away goal rule
