Espérance dominated also the last group match. Needing a draw to deny all fairytale possibilities, they profited from a 42nd minute penalty, converted by Walid Azaiez.

The Tunisian all-star dream team showed again, they have too many weapons to overcome. A bunch of African stars added to a collection of Tunisian quality players, they seem to be able to replace everybody from the bench.

Even international goalkeeper El Ouaer, who had received a red card in the last match at Abidjan. His replacement (Moez Ben Thabet?) played a convincing match, stopping those few occasions the Tunisian offside trap or defenders had not spoiled before.

He even saved a penalty a few minutes from full time.

Though the Espérance game was not 100% convincing this time, it was sufficient to let no doubts arise, who will represent group B in the finals and who will be the favorites there.

But attention: the opponents there will be North Africans and this will result in different looking matchups than seen here.

 Final score: 1:0
