A crucial match for the outcome of the group.

The situation before the match:
1 Raja Casblanca 3 3-0 9
2 Hearts Of Oak 3 5-2 6
3 Al Ahly 3 4-5 3
4 Shooting Stars 3 2-7 0
(group winner advances to finals)

the match:

Hearts Of Oak had fallen behind early by a goal of Mohamed Farouk (4th). Now in the second half the Ghanaians began with an individually skilful attacking style but found a concentrated Egyptian defence.
A long kick (of which a few could be seen) by the Egyptian keeper was backheeled on by an attacker in the penalty box what set Walid free on the left wing. From a difficult angle he scored against malplaced defender and goalkeeper trying to defend a center ball: 2:0 (55th)

Hearts Of Oak kept trying but only threatened the goal a few times while lacks of concentration in their defence opened up the opportunity for a thried goal.

The Ghanaians played quite well on the pitch but were ineffective in front of both goals. Al Ahly played more and more relaxed, concentrating on capitalizing from opponents mistakes.

The true winner of this match could be Raja Casablanca. They now only need 4 points from 3 matches, including the one on Saturday (Oct. 9th)

The situation after the match:
1 Raja Casblanca 3 3-0 9
2 Al Ahly 4 6-5 6
3 Hearts Of Oak 4 5-4 6
4 Shooting Stars 3 2-7 0
(group winner advances to finals)
